A College Golf Plan: Realize Your Dream of Playing College Golf

A College Golf Plan is one of the only in-depth books specifically designed for the junior golfer who desires to play golf at the collegiate level. It is a must have companion for every junior golfer seeking their spot on a college golf team. With limited college golf team spots and scholarships available, you need an edge, and this is it. We were so bewildered by the recruiting process and so behind the curve, until we got A College Golf Plan. This book is a must read for all junior golfers who want to play in college. It is so well researched and so well organized. It’s an easy read, like the author is talking to you, and Bodin has personal hands on experience, which we really appreciate. She understands the process, and she understands teenage golfers and what they are going through.

We had no idea where to begin or what to do, and there just isn’t much out there. We got this book and it really gives you a great year by year plan. But, the best part is all the information in the chapters. She covers everything, do’s and don’ts, resumes, swing videos, college visits, applying to colleges, talking to coaches, NCAA rules…….I can’t think of anything we need that isn’t in this book. Her lists of questions to ask yourself, or a coach, or the list of what a coach may ask us has really helped us with a whole new approach to college visits. Every parent who has a kid going to college for golf (even without golf) should buy this book!

Oh, and the margin guides are the greatest, you don’t even need a bookmark!

This book is an invaluable resource, I wish we had it before my eldest daughter got to college. It takes the mystery out of this strange and bewildering process and provides a roadmap for you and your child during those high school years. I believe this book applies to other sports as well. My family is also into lacrosse, it’s hard to get noticed playing lacrosse when you are from Texas, but this book has really shown us how it is done.
